Enjoy hot cup of Masala Tea. There can be nothing more pleasing during a rain than a hot cup of masala tea.
Ingredients
4 to 6 mint leaves (phudina)
1 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Chai masala
2 tbsp sugar For Tea Masala
1 inch stick Cinnamon
4 Green cardamoms
16 Black peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg,grated
1 teaspoon Dry Ginger (Soonth)
Method
Masala - Dry grind peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves and green cardamoms to a fine powder. Let it cool completely then sieve. Mix in soonth. Store in an airtight container. Use the masala as and when required to make tea.
1. Combine the lemon grass, mint leaves and sugar with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
2. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes till the aroma is released and the water is reduced to half.
3. Add the tea masala and bring it to a boil.
4. Add the milk and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
